NEW ZEALAND TECH COPYWRITER

Tech companies don’t usually have a content problem. They have a clarity problem.

You’re not short on smart people, big ideas, or features to talk about. But explaining what you do — and why it matters to the people you’re trying to reach — is a different challenge.

I’m a copywriter with a background in tech. I’ve written product pages, case studies, UX copy, investor updates, video scripts and everything in between.

I’ve worked inside the engine room of SaaS start-ups, scale-ups and enterprise tech teams. So I won’t slow you down or ask what an API is.

WHAT I BRING

A woman with shoulder-length brown hair sitting at a wooden table in a cafe, holding an orange coffee mug, smiling at the camera. The background features a brick wall and a beige cushion on the bench.
  • 15 years+ writing for B2B, B2C, SaaS and technology brands

  • Deep experience inside tech teams across marketing, product, comms and customer experience

  • A sharp intuition for what matters and what’s getting in the way

  • Strategic thinking, not just nice words

  • The ability to write with clarity, nuance and personality

I’ve led marketing at high-growth company Figured, created partner marketing at Xero, managed editorial and comms at Jade Software, and written for platforms like Preno, Ambit, Nexmo, Snaphire, Nextro, Fuji Xerox, ResolvePay, Native Software, Webfox, Kea Aerospace, 3PM, Service Dynamics, Tikpay, Madcap, and more.

I founded copywriting studio, Mark My Words, in 2010.

Since then, I’ve helped hundreds of organisations — from start-ups to global corporations — craft brand stories that attract their ideal client and leave a legacy on the world.

I’ve refined my method over a 15 year career in copywriting, with an understanding of SEO, inclusive language, storytelling techniques, ethical persuasion and buyer psychology.
